Strangely, the keyboard typically starts to work just fine after a period of time between approximately 0 and 20 minutes. External keyboards work fine, as do both the touchpad and external mice. The keyboard works fine in the UEFI and Grub menu it is only after running Ubuntu that it fails. Everything seems to work fine, except for the fact that the internal keyboard is usually unresponsive after turning on the computer - only select f-keys work (brightness, airplane mode, microphone on/off).
